Roy Heany

Roy, Luí na Gréine, Baile an tSagairt, An Spidéal, Contae na Gaillimhe and formerly of Clonrollagh, Longford. 29th May 2023, peacefully at University Hospital Galway after a short illness with his wife Mairéad by his side. Predeceased by his parents Bob and Ida.

Roy is survived by his heartbroken and loving wife Mairéad , cousins Martin, Anne and family, Leo, Breda and family, Malachy, Elizabeth and family , sisters-in-law Nancy Rainey and Teresa Campbell, his loyal dear friends Diarmaid, Ernest, Dick, John, Mary and family, Tom and the extended McGuiness family, his many friends from Wesley College and Maynooth University, by Mairéad’s numerous nieces and nephews and by his extended family and friends.

Resting at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Thursday from 2.00pm until 3.00pm followed by removal to St.Paul’s Church, Newtownforbes for Funeral Service at 4.00pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Safe in the arms of Jesus.
