Stephen Clancy

Clancy, (Ballinahowen, Furbo, Spiddal, Co. Galway), Stephen, 2nd August 2021, (former Woodwork/Building Construction teacher at Fr. Griffin Vocational Secondary School/Park College) left this world peacefully at home with his devoted wife Nancy and family by his side after a long illness borne bravely. Predeceased by his brother Michael, mother Mary, father James, niece Mary Connolly Cabral and recently deceased sister-in-law Margaret Geoghegan.

Dearly beloved husband of Nancy (Nee Clarke) adored & much-loved father of Caroline, Niall, Declan & Finn. Will be sadly missed by his loving sister Delia Connolly (Boston), brothers-in-law Patrick Clarke (Ennistymon, Co. Clare), James Clarke (Kildare), Des Dore (Limerick), sisters-in-law Eileen Clarke (Corrandulla, Co. Galway), Bride Clarke (Kildare), his cherished daughter-in-law Christine, nieces, nephews, many cousins, neighbours, friends & his little doggie Kobi.

Stephen will leave his home Thursday, 5th August 2021, at 11.30 a.m. Due to the HSE & Government guidelines a private funeral mass will take place for immediate family only at Furbo Church at Midday. Stephen will be laid to rest in Furbo Cemetery.

Those who would like to attend but due to current restrictions cannot, please feel free to leave a message in the condolence section below. Friends & Neighbours are very welcome to line the route to and from Stephen’s home to Furbo Church in a safe and socially distanced manner, as a mark of respect.
